My lovely boyfriend took me out to mcdonalds for breakfast and then took me shopping. It was such a lovely day. We went round Zara, topshop, jack wills, office, superdry, fenwicks, and loads more and he didn't complain about being there just that he needed a sit down. He hates shopping so much and it was super nice of him to take me. It was delightful. After we'd been in for a while id only brought two things. We were going to leave but we didn't. Here are some of the things I brought:
1. M.A.C foundation.
I've been um-ing and Ar-ing about whether to invest in some mac foundation and I've finally decided to do it. Obviously the 'hype' of mac has been around for ages and I thought I'd take baby steps and go with a foundation. I'm not really adventurous with make up although I'd love to it's because I don't know many people who adventure as much. So I'm going to make a conscious effort to be a bit better with my make up (I will try - that's not a promise;)
- I got it in a NW15. And the lady sat me down and tried on a few of their foundations. She tried me with a face and body but it wasn't enough coverage, she tried me with a Studio Fix Fluid 13 and it was too light so this was the next one up. It smells so super nice.
- I also brought the pump. They don't sell the foundation with the pump and the pump you can just re-use with the next one when that one runs out. It so nice.
- The disadvantage is that when you put the pump on you can't use the original lid. You have to remember to lock the pump(!) uh oh for me.
- The woman also gave me a sample of the primer. The primer is quite expensive (£30) for an actual bottle but she said you only need one squirt. She gave me this sample and some advise about my skin as it can be oily in some places yet dry in others. I can't wait to try the primer.
The primer.
2. Cath Kidston travel bag.
I brought this as it was on sale and I got the make up bag for Christmas. It's a lovely size and will be great for everything I need in one place. I can keep all my little bits (make up remover, wipes, deodorant, moisturiser etc) in for when I go to sleep overs or even away. It's oil cloth so it's easy to wipevb. and sustain.
3. Zara scarf.
I'm in love with my zara scarf.
It's absolutely huge and I went in with Harry and wore it all around zara and once I'd left I had to come back and buy it. It's £19.99 and I've had it one day and has been already been used as a blanket when Harry was lying on my lap. It's that big and it's super soft. There's no bits that come off or malt like some materials. It was a lovely investment and I can't wait to wear it everywhere.
4. Topshop Tartan Leggings.
I don't know what to actually call these, they don't feel like leggings but don't feel like jeans. It's like a mix. They're so nice on and I just love love love them. I know they'll go super nice with some zara tops or I wore my boyfriends white long sleeved thermal top and a gold chain with them and they still look lovely. I like to roll up the bottoms ( I've always done it but another reason is that I'm short :| )
5. The Benefit High Beam complexion enhancer.
This is by far so amazing. You use it on your cheeks and brow bones to give a little shine and I absolutely think it looks so pretty and I really love it. One of my major usages right now and I think it'll be a staple item in my make up bag as you wouldnt expect anything less from benefit
I haven't actually used this yet so I obviously cannot comment or review it but I've heard great things about it from my friends and online so I can't wait to try it.
7. Real techniques - Foundation Brush
I've heard so much about these brushes, they're everywhere - Instagram, youtube, tumblr. I'm probably the last to get on the band wagon and I don't mind that because this is SUCH a nice brush that I'm so glad I invested in one.
